Rudolf, Kunsthistoriker, * Berlin 22. 7. 1901, ✝ New York 11. 10. 1971; arbeitete 1934-56 am Warburg Institute in London und war ab 1949 zugleich Professor an der University of London, 1959-69 an der Columbia University in New York. Seine Schriften, v. a. die zur Humanismus- und Renaissanceforschung, sind für die moderne Kunstgeschichte von grundlegender Bedeutung.
